We have Annette Corbell who has agreed to be nominated to the position of Society Secretary. Most of us know Annette who has conducted our Zoom sig, “Research Desk with Annette.”Annette has been a Tulsa Genealogical Society member for several years and is actively involved in our Society via research projects, completed many genealogical classes preparing her as a certified genealogist, also has provided several presentations for our society as well as other area societies. She is an active contributor in many areas of TGS and is an inspiration to all.

Additionally, we still have a need for a treasurer for TGs as Steve King will be completing his term in June of this year. If you are interested in being the treasurer or know of someone, please let Jim Hemphill, Nominating Chair, know asap. Jim’s email address is jhemphill3@cox.net.

Annual Meeting Agenda1. May 19, 2025, is our Annual Meeting during which we will vote on these board position nominations. Additional nominations will be accepted for any of these positions until the Annual Meeting is convened. 2. At the May (Annual) meeting, the TGS Board of Directors will ask for approval to a change in our By-laws regarding the Board of Directors. (Article 6, Section 1)Current By-Laws state: The Society shall be governed by an elected Board of Directors (hereinafter referred to as Board). The Board shall consist of 9 active members in good standing. (8 elective Directors and 1 elective Board Member at Large.)Changes requested: The Society shall be governed by an elected Board of Directors (hereinafter referred to as Board).
